    Since spending time with my working mother at charity shops, I've always learned to make the most of the situation and consider all perspectives or possibilities before going ahead with a solution, marketing strategy or partnership.

  • Empathy and Understanding


    Something else I learned spending time at the Salvation Army was to never judge someone (or a challenge) at face value. People are extremely capable when they feel empowered, respected and included. The project management and I.T. realms rely on a need to know basis, treating employees as obstacles or customers rather than creative and invested knowledge and ideas resources. I'd like to challenge this stigma to impart the value of self-sustaining, driven organisations (even if it puts me out of a job).

    When you're a hammer, everything looks like a nail. The same is true for technologies of all kinds. People become excited or bought-in on a technology that will change their businesses and lives, and sometimes destroy their foundation in the process (only for the technology to fall short). a Business-first mindset means putting the core operations and supporting foundations of the business in the spotlight first, before working towards incorporating appropriate technologies and empowering staff with knowledge.

Business Review, Analysis & Enablement

Many business processes and day-to-day workings are shrouded in mystery. I take the initiative to understand, document and visualise all aspects of your organisation's operations and provide suggestions for improvements. I also provide employees with the tools to manage documentation themselves to track changes and reduce training time.

Process Analysis, Improvement & Automation

In the digital age, many organisations are not optimised and perform processes in very unstructured and manual ways. Taking the time to review key processes, I provide documentation of the end-to-end processes and provide both process and automation suggestions to suit your priorities.

Stakeholder Engagement & Project Management

I've been involved in several high-value projects, providing updates and support to both business and technology-focused teams. This has taught me the value in aligning expectations, motivating through shared common value and celebrating everyone on the team. I am also educated in Agile, Waterfall and Prince2 project management methodologies and have had to manage various PM responsibilities in my roles.

In my time at Domain I helped some amazing people to deliver a new case tagging system, billing system migration, and several high-value national products.

Team Management and Stakeholder Engagement at PCYC

In my first management role, I helped to develop and launch a help-desk and knowledge base portal, introduced monthly team social games and helped to resolve critical I.T. issues. I will forever treasure the trust my team put in me, and am proud of my strong advocacy for them.
